Calls for research projects and postdoc projects
For BECC-PIs
BECC funds post doc projects, PhD projects, research grants and also, from time to time, part-funds faculty positions.
Each year the Board decides how much of the budget is to be allocated to research funding. Decisions on how to allocate these resources are also taken by the Board. As a basis for these decisions, proposals are discussed at Grand Challenge Theme meetings, with Action Group leaders, and with PIs.
- The Board announces calls for proposals for new research projects.
- Between the call for proposals and the application deadline, Grand Challenge theme meetings are normally held, in order to discuss possible projects.
- The Board decides on which proposals should be funded.
- The Board decides on long-term positions, in close collaboration with the Heads of Departments involved.
