Biodiversity in school grounds – for learning, health and conservation

The goal of today's event is to identify knowledge gaps in research and management of nature and green spaces on school grounds in relation to education, health and wellbeing of pupils and teaching staff, as well as for contributing to biodiversity conservation and behaviors related to environmental protection.
The event aims to compile information from the participants' different fields to provide new and evidence-based perspectives on the potential and need to enhance biodiversity in school grounds. This is done by first identifying knowledge gaps in research and management of nature and green spaces on school grounds in relation to education, health and wellbeing of pupils and teaching staff, as well as for contributing to biodiversity conservation and behaviors related to environmental protection.
