LU Land Breakfast seminar #20: Sustainable energy supply in a fossil-free society

Energy supply is currently a hot topic not only because of high energy prices and sanctions against Russia. Society's goal of transforming towards more renewable energy sources has increased the demand for, for example, biofuel, while at the same time requirements to take into account other societal goals such as biodiversity conservation during production are being raised. This places high demands on energy producers as well as on forestry and other suppliers of biomass.
At this breakfast seminar, we discuss the dilemma of how to secure our energy supply in a fossil-free society and at the same time take biodiversity into account. Welcome to listen to representatives from the energy sector, forest owners and researchers who present and reflect on this issue from different perspectives. The seminar ends with a moderated panel discussion, where the audience also has the opportunity to ask questions.
