LU Land breakfast seminar on sustainable land use: Lighting and light pollution - is there room for both light and dark in the built environment?

Light plays an important role for plants, animals and humans: for example, it regulates biological rhythms and helps animals navigate. However, as the availability of light has increased, natural circadian rhythms and darkness have become scarce, especially in cities and urban areas, with consequences for many species.
