Natural and social dimensions of carbon accounting
This research area investigates the effect of different paradigms for estimating green house gas (GHG) budgets for a defined geographical region (e.g. Fennoscandia) on the feasibility, accuracy and political implications for measuring, reporting and verifying carbon budgets. The aim is also to grasp the political implications of carbon accounting and how the different methodological paradigms for estimating GHG budgets enable or foreclose policy development and implementation.
