Biodiversity in the schoolyard

How can school educators capture children's curiosity about the world around them, and encourage them to discover and benefit from the biodiversity that is in their immediate vicinity? Welcome to an interactive afternoon of inspiration and exciting lectures on the subject, as well as the opportunity to try out a new educational tool for exploring schoolyard biodiversity.
The Natural Nations project developed surveys to record bird populations, minibeasts, habitats, pollinators, and vegetation in school grounds. An evolution of the award-winning Polli:Nation project, Natural Nations was funded by Erasmus+, and led by Learning through Landscapes in partnership with Naturskolan i Lund, Lunds Universitet, Birdlife Malta and Sociedad Espanola de Ornitologia SEO (Birdlife Spain).
We welcome school educators, school leaders, professionals who plan and build school environments - and anyone else interested in the subject - to be inspired by exciting speakers and to try out the new materials developed by the project. The idea is that the material can be used directly in your own work, and that you will take away some extra inspiration and new knowledge after this afternoon.
The event is a part of the Sustainability week in Lund and will be held in Swedish.
