Popular science lectures at Kulturnatten in Lund: The climate, the environment, and biodiversity
How are environmental and climate changes affecting the biodiversity around us? And what does the reverse relationship look like? We will delve into this theme during Kulturnatten in Lund as we join the program at the Botanical Garden.
Each presentation will be held in a tent at the Botanical Garden. They will be 15-20 minute presentations followed by a short period for questions.
Program
Throughout the day, four different popular science lectures will be given according to the program below. Please note that each lecture will be presented twice, and in some cases in Swedish.
16:30: ”Soil microorganisms are of great importance to the climate – but how?” with Edith Hammer.
17.30: ”How environmental and climate change is affecting pollinators” with Maj Rundlöf.
18:00: ”The forest, the climate and biodiversity” with Ola Olsson.
The program is a collaboration between Centre for Environmental and Climate Science, the botanical Garden and the department of Biology - and a part of the Natural Science Festival at the Faculty of Science.
