Swedish Biodiversity Symposium

BECC is one of the main organisers of Swedish Biodiversity Symposium. The aim of the conference is to share and discuss scientific knowledge on biodiversity, discover new perspectives and strengthen collaborations to promote positive developments in the field.

We are in a situation where biodiversity is declining at a record pace. This is also jeopardising human livelihoods and well-being. With the Swedish Biodiversity Symposium, several major Swedish organisations with leading expertise in biodiversity and climate joined forces to share and discuss scientific knowledge on biodiversity, discover new perspectives and strengthen collaborations to help reverse this crisis. 

The first edition of the Swedish Biodiversity Symposium took place 21 - 23 October, 2025. There are already plans to arrange Swedish Biodiversity Symposium 2027.
